COACHING WITH DR. JEN

It’s not parenting advice.

It’s mental wellness

skills for parents

Is your child's challenging behavior leaving you feeling exhausted, frustrated, defeated? You’re not alone—and you’re not a bad parent.

Learn simple, science-backed strategies to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and in control of your emotions, no matter what parenting challenge comes your way.

PARENTAL STRESS AND BURNOUT ARE AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH.

Sleepless nights, toddler tantrums, overstimulation, and never-ending to-do lists can leave you feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from the parent you want to be. You’ve read the books, tried the scripts, and taken the courses—yet the same patterns resurface. You lose patience, overreact, shut down, dissociate, and neglect what truly nourishes you and your child.

Most parenting advice focuses on managing your child’s behavior, but real transformation starts with you. When you learn to regulate your nervous system and emotions, everything shifts.

Through psychology, science, and spirituality, I’ll help you build emotional resilience using nervous system regulation, mindfulness, mindset shifts, and intentional family routines. When you feel more grounded, parenting becomes less about control and more about connection.

I help you with:

  • Parenthood can be deeply triggering—it’s hard to respond calmly to your children when you don’t feel calm yourself. I believe that understanding how your nervous system functions, what causes dysregulation, and what a balanced nervous system looks like is essential to managing emotions, anger, and impulsive reactions. By exploring the connection between your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, you can begin to recognize patterns and shift toward healthier responses.

  • I take a holistic approach to improving your mental well-being. I help you identify the root causes of stress and overwhelm, including maladaptive habits and behaviors, and guide you in making small, gradual changes to build supportive routines—such as developing healthy habits around diet, exercise, and sleep. Additionally, I help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns and use mindfulness and metacognition to shift toward more supportive and constructive mindsets.

  • As a board-certified family physician specializing in mental health, I take a holistic approach rooted in the biopsychosocial (BPS) framework, exploring how our biological makeup influences the way we think, feel, and behave—while also recognizing that our thoughts, emotions, and social interactions can, in turn, impact our biology at the cellular level.

Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors are all closely connected and I help you break free from negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

  • As a coach and family wellness expert, I help parents navigate the emotional ups and downs of parenthood, including overwhelming mood shifts, persistent worry, and anxious feelings. My approach focuses on practical tools like mindset reframing, behavioral adjustments, lifestyle shifts, and nervous system regulation to foster emotional balance and resilience. While I offer support for a variety of challenges, some situations may require specialized care beyond coaching, and I can guide you toward the right resources when needed.

  • My work with patients focuses on educating and helping parents uncover the actual root causes of their struggles.

We will explore the impact of diet, movement, and daily habits influence mental health, and learning how to build healthy routines that create lasting positive change for both you and your family.

✺ One-on-One Coaching Process:

In our first session, we’ll dive into your concerns, challenges, personal history, stressors, and goals. This conversation helps us gain clarity on what’s contributing to your struggles and sets the foundation for a personalized coaching plan. It’s also an opportunity to build rapport, discuss the coaching process, and determine if we’re the right fit to work together.

✺ What to Expect From Working Together:

Our work together is a collaborative, non-judgmental process where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Based on your unique needs, I’ll create a tailored approach that integrates behavioral strategies, mindset shifts, and nervous system regulation techniques. Sessions are 50 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your goals and the level of support you need. In follow-up sessions, we’ll refine strategies, track progress, and reinforce habits that help you feel more grounded, present, and in control.
